Okay, I'm sorta new to AG collecting--but not the dolls--and I have a question. What's the difference in pre Mattel and post Mattel things? I haven't really been up to date about that, other than to know that Mattel bought out PC in the late 90s and took over fully in 2000. I have a pre-Mattel Ida Bean for Addy, but I didn't even notice until I won the auction. I just wanted a doll for a little cheaper than price + shipping on the site. I've heard things like soft lashes, and white bodies (that I understand) but why do some people want pre-Mattel things or dolls more?
